Student Driving Privileges

STUDENT DRIVING PRIVILEGES

State Law provides for the notification to the Office of Motor Vehicles by School officials of the suspension of driving privileges of a student who is:

  1. Expelled or suspended from school or an assignment to an alternative educational setting  for ten or more consecutive school days for committing certain infractions or,
  2. withdraws from school under certain circumstances or,
  3. fails of refuses to comply with mandatory school attendance or,
  4. is a dropout or is habitually absent or tardy from school. (Refer to LaSalle Parish Attendance Regulations for definition of habitual).
