Louisiana Teaching Certificate Information

LOUISIANA TEACHING CERTIFICATE UPDATE INFORMATION

To update a Louisiana Teaching Certificate or an Ancillary Certificate, please do the following

1. Go to the Louisiana Department of Education's Certification Update Packet (Click here).
2. Read the instructions explaining the requirements for your specific request.
3. Take or send originals  to Robyn Smith at the Central Office.  The forms will be signed and submitted to the Department of Education.

The Department of Education no longer mails out paper copies of certificates unless they are requested.  There is an added fee for this service.
